Atwood Parking Center
Venture Development Group is teaming up with another local developer under the joint venture, ACCT, LLC, to develop the Atwood Parking Center. Construction began Feb. 1, and is scheduled for completion by the end of September, 2008.
The facility will feature 1st floor retail tenants, with 9 floors of parking. The 830 parking spaces will consolidate State employee vehicles into one structure, and provide 40 spaces for visitors on State business. Plans include heated sidewalks on E, F, and 7th Streets. The sidewalks are extra wide, measuring 29ft. The lobbies will be heated.
Project architects prioritized safety considerations in the design, using glass on all four sides of the stairwells for improved visibility. The facility will also include security cameras.
